Getting to Tuscany

Our wedding will be taking place in Gavorrano, Tuscany near the city of Grosseto, Italy. We have included important information below on how to get around and things to prepare for during your time there.

Florence airport is 90 mins to Conti Di San Bonifacio by car. It is the closest international airport to the wedding venue.

Flight | Pisa International Airport

Pisa airport is 1h and 19 mins to Conti Di San Bonifacio by car.

Travel Note | Florence to Grosseto

Taxi: Taxis from Florence airport to Tuscany cost approximately $90-110 and can be obtained from the airport on arrival.

Bus: a multi-bus transfer option is available, however is the more difficult option.

Here you will find many car rental companies including Sixt, Hertz, National and Budget. We would suggest booking your rental car online, a few months ahead of your travels for the best prices. We strongly recommend a rental car to get around Tuscany.

Travel Note | Using Credit Cards In Italy

Keep in mind most gas station in Tuscany require a pin code for your credit card to obtain gas. If you have an American credit card, we suggest contacting your bank a few weeks before traveling to request a pin code for your credit card. This usually has to be sent to you in the mail.
